Clinical Signs of a Pet Emergency
Contact our animal hospital or your nearest after-hours emergency vet if you observe any of the following signs in your pet:
- Difficulty breathing
- Hemorrhaging (even following compression)
- Bloated/distended abdomen
- Possible broken bones
- Unable to stand or walk
- Weak and disoriented
- Collapse
- Loss of consciousness
- Seizure lasting several minutes/had several seizures in 24 hours
- No eating or drinking in 24 hours or more
- Straining/unable to urinate or defecate
- Consumed something poisonous
- Was attacked by a wild animal
- Was hit by a car
- Fell from a high place
- Continuous vomiting and/or diarrhea
- Bleeding from ears, nose, and/or mouth
